Obituary
Billy Jacob Snider, 88, of Scotts Hill, TN, passed away Sunday, January 8th, at AHC-Westwood.
He was born December 23, 1934 in Henderson County. Billy was a 1953 graduate of Scotts Hill High School, he was a US Army veteran, a member of Scotts Hill Church of Christ, a member of Ebenezer Masonic Lodge and he was a Shriner. Billy was very active in Scotts Hill City Government where he had served as city councilman, vice mayor and mayor. He worked for Buck Lumber Co. for 47+ years before retiring.
He is survived by his wife, Carolyn Austin Snider. They celebrated their 64th anniversary this past December 21st. He is also survived by a daughter, Andrea Snider, of Scotts Hill; a Granddaughter, Claire Snider; a half sister, Janie Graves, of Parsons.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Ruby Snider Rogers, his Grandparents, Will and Maude Snider and several half siblings.
His Funeral Service will be held at Reed's Chapel, Scotts Hill, TN, at 2 PM on Wednesday, January 11th, with Matt Vega officiating. Burial will follow in Scotts Hill Methodist Cemetery.
Visitation will be Wednesday 10 AM until service.
