Connie Edward Bartholomew, Jr of Decaturville, TN, was born Tuesday, March 26, 1940 at
home in Decaturville, TN to the union of the late Connie and Vernie Lomax Bartholomew.
Connie Jr was the oldest of three siblings and grew up with his brother and sister on the family
farm. He graduated from Decaturville High School in 1958. Connie Jr was elected as Senior
Class President and Most Likely to Succeed by his classmates. After high school, Connie Jr
worked several jobs until he started work at Teague Brothers Sand & Gravel as Senior
Accountant where he retired from after 30 plus years. He was also partners and then owner in the
family business in Decaturville. In his spare time, he enjoyed watching western movies and
Connie passed from this life on Monday, April 3, 2023 after a brief stay at Henderson County
Survivors include his brother, Larry Bartholomew of Decaturville, TN and numerous nieces and
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by a sister, Peggy Bartholomew Keats
Pallbearers include: Larry Bartholomew, L.D. Bartholomew, Pamela Bartholomew Gardner, Eric
Gardner, Richard Stewart, and Lee Sheffield.
Visitation with the Bartholomew Family will be held on Wednesday, April 5, 2023 from 5:00
PM until 9:00 PM and again on Thursday, April 6, 2023 from 9:00 AM until service time at
Reeds Chapel in Decaturville.
Services will be conducted by Brother Donald Franks Sr on Thursday, April 6, 2022 at 11:00
AM at Reeds Chapel in Decaturville. Burial will follow in Mt. Zion Cemetery.
