David Howell Brasher

David Howell Brasher, 55 of Parsons, TN passed away at Jackson-Madison General Hospital on Friday, January 28th, 2022.

He was an employee of Crounse  Corporation Towboat Operation. He spent 30 plus years working on the river. He was an avid sportsman who enjoyed hunting & fishing, He loved to cook for his family from time to time, especially on Christmas. He loved playing Santa for his favorite nieces and nephews and was a big time jokester that loved to make people  laugh. He also became a father later in life to 2 special kids that he loved dearly. 

He is survived by his wife of 30 years, Benita Brasher, of Parsons, two sons, Colton (Tori) Brasher and Jay Hunter Brasher, both of Parsons, a daughter, Brooke (Tyler Whiberg), of Parsons, one grandchild, Liam Brasher, two sisters, Renee' Carr (Rick), of Austin, TX and Vickie Wallace (Tony), of Knoxville, a sister in law, Jenita Evans,  of Parsons, a very special sister in law, Vicki Brasher of Parsons, a mother in law, Jenette Rhodes, of Parsons, two special young children, Dylan and Evan Rhodes, of Parsons, and a host of special  nephews.

He was preceded by his father and mother, J.G. and Joan Brasher, a brother, Doug Brasher, a niece, Missy Gurley, and his father in law, J.W. Rhodes.

Funeral Services will be held at Reed's Chapel- Decaturville, on Monday, January 31, 2022 at 3 PM with Bro. Phil Flowers and Bro. Terry Rhodes officiating. Burial will follow in the Hopewell Cemetery.

Visitation will be on Sunday at 5 PM - 9 PM and on Monday from 10 AM until service. 

The Family has requested that people wear a mask due to Covid.
