Elizabeth Ann Armstrong was born December 16, 1942, to the late Sims Clayton and Vera Ann Polan Beasley. Elizabeth was born and raised in Perry County. She was one of eleven children. Although she grew up with a simple, meager childhood, she was rich in love to others by opening her home, always having a place to eat at her table, and through her daily conversations. She was 31 years old when she accepted Jesus as her savior after attending Church on an Easter Sunday at Trinity. Since then, she hasn't stopped telling others about Jesus and his love. She is a huge part of why her siblings, children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren are in church.
Being surrounded by family was one of her favorite things about life. She loved Sunday afternnoons after church and days throughout the week when family and friends would stop by and visit. She was a true example of how you don't have to leave your house in order to be a witness, to others. She left an impact on every person she came in contact with. Every day, she would pray and call out every person's name in her family. She would pray for health and that we would continue to serve the Lord and the ones that didn't, she prayed they would find their way to the Lord. She never spoke an ill word towards or about others. She spent her entire life with a servants heart, helping in any way she could. She was the perfect example of how we should all live.
