Emma Katherine (White) Fairchild

Emma Katherine Fairchild of Frankenmuth, MI

Beloved mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother passed away on August 2, 2020, at Bavarian Comfort Care in Bridgeport, MI. Age 79 years.  

Emma was born in Decaturville, TN, on July 6, 1941, to the late Clarence and Lois (Britt) White.  Emma loved being a mother and grandmother.  She enjoyed working at Carter's children's clothing store in Birch Run Premium outlets for several years.  Emma also loved gardening her flowers and working outside.

Surviving are two children, David Brian Fairchild and Amelia Katherine Fairchild; nine grandchildren, David Brian Fairchild II, Ashley Lee Fairchild, Sienna Amelia Kotch, Cheyenne Lorraine Kotch, Shaylynne Katherine Kotch, Shiloh Dalton Kotch, Victoria Elizabeth Fairchild, Sarah Jessica Fairchild, and Emma Jean Fairchild; a great-granddaughter, Paisley Elizabeth Miller; a special niece, Shonda Page as well as many other nieces and nephews; two sisters, Ruby Comis of White Lake, MI. and Anna Elrod of Nashville, TN; and a brother Jimmy White of Decaturville, TN.

She is predeceased by a sister, Glenda Stewart; and a brother, Thomas White.

Honoring Emma's wishes, cremation has taken place and a memorial service was held on Wednesday August 12, 2020 at 11:00 a.m. in Michigan.  Emma will be laid to rest with her parents, brother, and sister at Pleasant Hill Cemetery, near Decaturville, TN on Saturday, August 22, 2020 at 11:30 a.m.  Family and friends are encouraged to attend for a prayer service and burial.
