Gerald Johnson Obituary

Gerald L. Johnson, 85, of Scotts Hill, TN, passed away Sunday, February 14th, at Jackson-Madison Co. General Hospital.

Gerald was a US Air Force Veteran, retiring with the rank of Master Sergeant after serving almost 21 years, he then worked for the US Post Office as a letter carrier. After he retired from the post office, he could be found around Scotts Hill drinking coffee with his buddies on a regular basis.

His family members include a daughter, Cheryl Lancaster, of Scotts Hill; a son, Gary Johnson, of Knoxville (Gary died at his home in Knoxville only 6 days after his dad's death), a sister, Janice Quast, of Mexico, and a brother, Don Conder, of Parsons, his mother-in-law, Lois Dyer, of Scotts Hill.
 
He is also survived by 3 Grandchildren - Joshua Morgan,  Micah Johnson and Natalie Johnson and 1 Great-Grandchild - Jacob Robertson.

Gerald was preceded in death by his wife, Tommie Mangrum Johnson, his mother, Grapel Conder, step father, Earl Conder, and his father, Roy Webb Johnson.  

Graveside Services will be held at Scotts Hill Cemetery, at 3 PM on Wednesday, February 24th. Military Rites will be held at the graveside. 

Visitation is Wednesday 11 AM - 3 PM at Reed's Chapel - Scotts Hill. 

Face masks are required for visitation and service and social distancing is encouraged.
