Joan M (Phillips) Wyatt

Joan Marie Phillips Wyatt, age 81, of Scotts Hill, TN, passed away Sunday, August 6th, in Jackson.

Joan was born September 7, 1941 in Decatur County to the late Coy and Lemmie Horner Phillips. She was preceded in death by 3 siblings, Dan Phillips, Louise Walker and Pat Wentworth.  

She was a homemaker and a member of Corinth Methodist Church. She was a 1959 Decaturville High School graduate. Joan loved to read, spend time with her family and especially her grandchildren but her favorite thing to do was shop.

Joan is  survived by her husband, Tommy Wyatt, of Scotts Hill; a daughter, Melinda (Kenny) Thompson, of Scotts Hill, TN; a son, Steve (Karen) Wyatt, of Lexington, TN; two sisters, Opal (Warren) Johnson, of Jackson, TN; Cheryl (Doug) Harvey, of Jackson, TN; two brothers, Morris (Janice) Phillips, of Decaturville, TN; Sam (Debbie) Phillips, of Decaturville, TN.
 
She is also survived by two grandsons, Spencer and Ridge Thompson, and two granddaughters, Ali Thompson and Ivy Wyatt.

Her Funeral Service will be held at Reed's Chapel - Scotts Hill at 2 PM on Wednesday, August 9th,  with Jamie Smith and Jonathan Downs officiating. Burial will follow in Corinth Methodist Cemetery near Scotts Hill.

The family will receive friends Tuesday 4 PM - 8 PM and Wednesday 10:00 AM until service.
