Margie Broadway Obituary

Margie E. Broadway, age 88 gained her wings on October 13, 2021 at AHC Decatur County.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 64 years Cloys Broadway, her parents Dewey and Dula Smart, three brothers Max Ray Smart, Raymond Smart and Leon Smart; three sisters, Georgia Mae Hopper, Margaret Justice and Diane Kilpatrick.

She leaves behind two sons Terry Broadway (Karen) and Alan Broadway (Melinda), two sisters, Virginia Box, of Madison and Shelby Brasher, of Madison, seven grandchildren, Scott Broadway (Angie), Kristie Frost (Michael), Justin Broadway (Holly), Samantha Brasher (Patrick), Jessica Brockman (Jay), Brittany Tubbs (Josh), and Katelyn McFall (Brandon).  She also is survived by sixteen great grandchildren and one great great granddaughter.

Margie worked at Decaturville Sportswear and after retiring helped her  husband Cloys at Broadway Auto Repair until he retired.

Grandmother to the older ones and Mammie to the younger, she read her Bible daily, prayed hard and sang hymns all day long.  But most importantly she knew God and served him faithfully.  Margie was very active at Decaturville First Baptist Church singing in the choir and teaching children’s Sunday school classes until her health started declining.  

Graveside Services will be held at Mt. Zion Cemetery on Thursday, October 14th at 11:00 AM.  Reed Chapel in Decaturville is in charge of arrangements.  In Lieu of flowers Memorial contributions may be sent to Decaturville First Baptist Church, C/O Jimmy Boroughs, 30 East Main St, Decaturville, TN 38329.  Or Mt. Zion Cemetery Fund, C/O Danny Lomax, 1785 Maxwell Road, Decaturvile, TN 38329.

Pallbearers serving are: Scott Broadway, Justin Broadway, Michael Frost, Patrick Brasher, Jay Brockman, Josh Tubbs, Brandon McFall, Aaron Frost and Austin Frost.
