Nathan Thomas Goodwin

Nathan Thomas Goodwin was born December 9, 1999 in Memphis, TN to Rhonda Gail Bowling Byrd and the late John Patrick Goodwin. He was a member of the Future Business Leaders of America, Choir and Health Occupations Students of America, National Honor Society, English Honorarium and Vocational Honor Society in High School, and liked to watch the Tennessee Vols play football. He enjoyed traveling and hanging out with family and friends. He especially loved watching Survivor on tv and playing Survivor online with his friends. Nathan departed this life on Friday, September 16, 2022 at Vanderbilt University Medical Center in Nashville, TN making his stay in this life 22 years, 9 months and 7 days. 

Survivors include his mother and step-father, Rhonda Gail and Patrick Byrd of Sardis, TN; a brother Jonathan Goodwin, wife Lorie and son Kason all of Parsons, TN; step-brother, Matthew Byrd of Sardis, TN; a step-sister, Brianna Byrd of Sardis, TN, Grandparents, Ronald and Cheryl Goodwin of Somerville, TN; Jacqueline Buchanan of Barlett, TN; Nathan and Tamara Bowling of Gentryville, IN; and Brenda Lynch of Stantonville, TN. 

In addition to his father, Nathan is preceded in death by his great grandparents, Sue and Billy Conway; Patricia Smith; and Billy Crowell, great grandparents, Andrea and Bernie Buchanan and Step grandparents, Horace Metcalf and Delores DellaMorta.

Funeral Services will be conducted on Monday, September 19, 2022 beginning at 4:00 PM at Reed's Chapel in Scotts Hill with Shane Porter officiating. Burial will follow in Austin Chapel Church of Christ Cemetery in Sardis, TN. 

Visitation will be held on Sunday, September 18, 2022 from 6:00 PM until 9:00 PM and again on Monday, September 19, 2022 from 11:00 AM until service time at 4:00 PM all at Reed's Chapel in Scotts Hill.
