Robert E. Raney

Robert Eugene Raney, 89, of Decaturville, TN, passed away Wednesday, October 7th, at Henderson Co. Community Hospital.

Robert was a graduate of U T Martin with a BS in Education. He had worked for Decatur County Board of Education as a teacher and coach and retired as transportation and attendance  supervisor. He was a member of Concord United Methodist Church and was a U S Air Force veteran serving in the Korean War.

Robert is  survived by his wife, Geraldine Milam Raney, of Decaturville; two daughters, Rita Alloway, of Cincinnati, OH; Beth (Keith) Kirby, of Collierville, TN; two sisters, Anna Belle Stuart, of Martin, TN; Mildred (Bobby) Hill, of Decaturville. 
 
He is also survived by 3 Grandchildren - Justin Alloway, of Cincinnati, OH,  Cole and Clark Kirby, of Collierville, TN

He was preceded in death by 2 brothers, Max Ray Raney and Okla Maness and a sister, Nona Spence, and his parents, Allie O. and Effie Jane Raney.

His Funeral Service will be held at Decaturville First United Methodist Church, Decaturville, TN, at 2 PM on Sunday, October 11th,  with Dr. Joseph Fisher officiating. Burial will follow in Concord Cemetery. 

Visitation is Saturday 4 PM - 7 PM at Reed's Chapel - Decaturville and Sunday 1 PM until service  at Decaturville First United Methodist Church.

Face mask are required for visitation and funeral attendance. The family request no food be brought to visitation.
