About Us

Reed’s Chapel was founded in 1960 by Mr. Charlie Reed. After his death in 1970 his wife, Frances, continued to operate the business until it was purchased by Wayne and Virginia Lewis in July of 1978. Wayne and Virginia purchased the former Boyd Funeral Home locations in Decaturville and Scotts Hill in 1998 and remained active in these businesses until their death. Their daughter, Karen Lewis Conder and her husband Keith Conder helped operate these two locations. They continue to own and operate them today with the same values and professional service that they observed and learned from Wayne and Virginia. Keith and Karen are both licensed TN Funeral Directors , Keith is a TN licensed Embalmer and Karen is a TN licensed Pre-Need Insurance Agent.
